Scandlines Helsingborg-Helsingör continued the positive development and generated strong growth in the
number of transported trucks in Q2 2018, which entailed an increase in the route’s market share of the
freight traffic on Öresund. In May, the number of trucks that chose Scandlines to cross the Sound between
Helsingborg and Helsingör exceeded the number of trucks choosing the fixed connection between Malmö
and Copenhagen for the first time.
”We know that our customers appreciate saving 50 kilometers on the road each way, which reduces driving
time and ensures a nice break on the short crossing. That applies to both private and professional
customers. When we add the environmental benefits of trucks choosing the green corridor across the
Sound, it is simply fantastic. It shows that we are on the right track,” says Johan Röstin, CEO at HH Ferries
HH Ferries Group has launched several initiatives to strengthen and improve the offering to its customers.
The capacity expansion with more daily departures by Hamlet has made the route even more competitive.
Most recently, the new and ambitious eating and meeting place – LAT56° Bistrobar – on Hamlet has been
followed by a six-week guest visit by gourmet restaurant Gastro on Tycho Brahe. And as part of the
company’s green agenda, HH Ferries Group contributed to the opening of a new charging station facility in
May, supplying Swedish and Danish travelers’ electric cars with power when they use Öresund’s floating
