Following a very positive reception of the Scandlines Helsingborg-Helsingör app, which was launched in
early 2017, its functionality has been expanded to allow foot passengers to buy tickets for the route
through the app.
Since the launch, around 22,000 users have downloaded the new Scandlines HH app, which calculates
travel time to the harbor and suggests the next relevant departure and ferry. The customer can then select
the most suitable departure from the timetable and buy a ticket directly from an iPhone or Android phone.
“We are satisfied with the positive reception of our app, and we consider the many downloads a sign that
our customers appreciate the efforts to constantly improve the service level and ensure that it becomes
even easier and more attractive to choose our ferries. This summer we expect more than 2 million
passengers in July and August alone, and it is now possible to walk directly to the ferry and skip any
potential queue at the ticket booth in the terminal,” said Jens Ole Hansen, COO of HH Ferries AB.
The Scandlines HH app is free and will continue to be developed. It may be downloaded for iPhone and
Android phones at Apple App Store and Google Play, respectively, by searching for ‘Scandlines HH’.
